Let me guess. You created something fabulous, wrote up a pattern, and submitted it to all the online magazines. But sadly, no one wanted it. Or maybe you wrote a great essay, but again, no one took it. Or, maybe you were just too lazy to try and get your great pattern and essay in the exact correct format for publication.

We know how you feel. But, don’t worry, your pattern or essay has a home here! This site is designed to host all the lost and homeless patterns out there.

Just send your pattern or article to submit@islandofmisfitpatterns.com, and we’ll post it. Yes, really. We’ll post anything.

What are the submission guidelines?

We don’t have any! Of course, if you actually want people to knit your garment, you might want to make sure the pattern is reasonably easy to follow and has a decent picture.

What format should my pictures be in?

Oh, we don’t care. If it’s too big, we’ll resize it. If you really want us to post that picture of yourself in a bathroom mirror taken with a camera phone, we’ll post it.

Who owns the copyright?

You do! If you ever want the pattern changed, or for us to remove it, we’ll be happy to do so. If you want to post your pattern to every forum from here to Siberia, that’s cool too.

Wait, I didn’t give permission for you to post my pattern! And that’s not even my name!

If someone is claiming a pattern you wrote as their own, and we’ve posted it, please email us, and we’ll take it down right away.
